Day After Thanksgiving Visit

The day after Thanksgiving we were able to spend time with family at Uncle Chad and Aunt Dawn's house.

Little Miss sure warmed up to her cousin.

Little Man had a BLAST playing with his Big cousin and Little Cousin.  They were inseparable.

Thanksgiving Trip to Michigan

We were blessed to be able to take a special trip to Michigan this Thanksgiving to visit Great Grandma and Great Grandpa.

Thanksgiving day was a beautiful day - around 60 degrees! We enjoyed a nice walk around the lake.

Hugs good-bye!

Picnic by The Christmas Tree

We enjoyed eating a picnic dinner by the
Christmas tree after we set it up.

Then the kids got to hang up their special ornaments.

SQ Time

We have a time in our home called "SQ" time.  It stands for Sit Quietly (yes, mom is not that creative).  But it is time when the kids sit and listen to a devotion and have to sit quietly while they listen.  Little Busy Bee was SO excited to join her two older siblings today.  She sat enthusiastically for the whole time in her very own chair.
She loves being treated like a BIG girl.

Girls and Shoes

This Little girl has discovered her big sister's dress up shoes and found a way to get these on all by herself.  She carefully loves to walk all over our house with these shoes on.
She is SO proud of herself.

Field Trip

The kids and I are blessed to be a part of a homeschooling group this year in which we take a field trip once a month.  So far we have gone to a nature center and to a pumpkin patch - this week however, we visited a Grocery Store.

If you are like my husband, you might be thinking "Really, a grocery store gives tours to three, four and five year olds."  The answer to this would be yes!

If you are doubting whether the kids had fun or not, let me just say yes!

Who doesn't love a field trip in which you get pet a lobster?

When you get free samples of cheese....and cookies....and suckers....and other snacks?

And when you get to walk into a freezer and cooler where the food is stored and then eat lunch at their kitchen afterwards?!

This a picture of only half of the group who went.  We actually had to divide our group into two, since we had so many kids!

Dressing Up with Cousins (again)

Once again these cousins enjoyed digging through the dress up clothes and finding something fun to put on.  The girls stayed with their standard "Princess" dresses.  I couldn't help but get a picture of the two of them cuddled up together on the sofa.

The boys....quite the duo!

One Boy, One Pile of Junk and some Tape

What do you get when you give a young boy a pile of junk, some tape and some string?

This time it was a boat!

A good friend of mine gave me a great idea to start collecting random things around the house that I would normally just throw away.  This is a wonderful cold weather activity, or just days you can't get out of the house.  It also entertains the younger ones, who just enjoy digging through the mess and putting masking tape on everything.

Love Books!

Little Busy Bee is starting to love reading books similar to her older brother.  Little Miss enjoys trying to coax Busy Bee into letting her read to her.  This might only last a few seconds, so I had to be quick with the camera for a photo.

Girls and Their Babies

I love this time of the year, when the weather is a little chilly, but the sun is shining bright.  It is wonderful weather to bundle up and go outside for a little while.

The girls were so excited to take their babies outside for a walk around the block.

When I turned around Little Miss had found her PURPLE camera and was taking a picture of me.

Then Little Man had his camera and he was following me around the block "video taping" me.

When we got back from our walk, the kids enjoyed running down the hill together.

This was a new experience for Little Busy Bee.  She got going quite fast and ended up on her face.

That doesn't phase this little girl though. She just got back up and kept running.

When we came back into the house around lunchtime, I was busy trying to get every one's shoes and coats off (including my own).  Little Busy Bee got out of my site and when I turned around I saw this:

And then this:

I guess she was ready for lunch!
