Egg Hunt

Over the past week the children and I have enjoyed going through the Easter/Resurrection Story of Jesus Christ.  A good friend of mine put together a list of 31 different passages from the Bible that lead up the resurrection.  She then put with each verse a visual that could be placed in a plastic egg.  So, the children and I read the passages and then the kids love opening the eggs to see what is in them.

After we go through a few every day, I let the kids hide the eggs.  They LOVE searching for them.

Little Miss was cracking me up the other morning as her and Little Man attempted to hide eggs for one another.

This is how it went.  Little Man would leave the room and let Little Miss hide the eggs for him.

When Little Man would re-enter the room he was tell his little sister "Don't tell me where they are."  So Little Miss would sit quietly for maybe a second with a huge smile on her face as she tried her best not to point out the eggs she had hidden.

But, it would not take long and she would be pointing with a HUGE smile "Look here "big brother" look here."

This would of course frustrate her big brother who wanted to find the eggs by himself.  So, as gently and patiently as he could, he would ask his little sister to re-hide the egg that she had shown him.

She would graciously do this for him; however, it wasn't long and off she was again pointing out another egg.

You can imagine how long this whole process took us.  And I could do nothing except sit back and laugh.  It was a fun time :)
